Student attendance, teacher attendance and staff records in one school system
The situation before
The school recorded three related things in three separate places: student attendance in class books, teacher attendance on an office sign in sheet, and staff data in an administration spreadsheet.
At every month end all three were retyped to assemble reports, and every retyping added a chance of an error that surfaced months later.
What we built
We unified all three onto one platform with a single database. Homeroom teachers record attendance from a phone, teachers record their own, and administration manages staff records in the same place.
Monthly reports stopped being assembled by hand because the data had been in one shape from the start. Access is split by role, so a homeroom teacher cannot alter staffing records and administration cannot quietly change a register.
