A utility site reorganised around what people actually come looking for
The situation before
A water utility serves thousands of customers who arrive at the site not to admire it but to find one specific thing as fast as possible.
The previous site made that hard, and its appearance had fallen behind comparable institutions, leaving an impression out of step with the actual scale of the service.
What we built
We rebuilt on WordPress with a purpose built theme rather than a licensed one with the colours changed.
Page structure was reorganised around what visitors search for most, putting the important information closest to the front page. The admin panel was set up so communications staff publish outage notices themselves without waiting on anyone.
